Yankees game rained out, setting up monster Derek Jeter day
Derek Jeter will get his own doubleheader on Sunday.
The Yankees postponed their game against the Astros on Saturday due to the forecast of bad weather, and it will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday, beginning at 2:05 p.m., with the gates opening at 1 p.m.
The Jeter-related ceremonies are still due to begin before the second game, no earlier than 6:35 p.m., and the second game won’t begin before 7:35 p.m.
Only tickets for Sunday’s game will be accepted for the doubleheader. Fans with tickets to Saturday’s game may exchange their paid tickets for any regular season game at Yankee Stadium through the end of the 2018 season (subject to availability). Sunday’s doubleheader is already sold out.
YES will broadcast the first game of the doubleheader on Sunday, while ESPN will broadcast the second game.
